Comment: I still don't believe Bobby to be the demon/boogie-man a lot of people try to make him out to be. I'd bet dollar$-to-doughnuts, he is dependable(he kept her alive didn't he?), he just doesn't have the cash(Nippy ain't sitting on no bundle either + she's a crack-head) Sit down and rest Bob, you're job of making her look good is over. Comment: No, I don't think Bobby is a demon either. I just think their relationship was unhealthy for each of them and their daughter. I feel like relationships are supposed to make you stronger, but these two together were a hot mess. I am pulling for Whitney to make a major comeback. Comment: She's gone through rehab and at some point will have to be called a former crackhead. They both made mistakes but Whit has more money than he does so it's a given Bobby looks worse off in this situation. They both need prayers and I agree it was an unhealthy relationship from the beginning. The show did nothing but make a joke of the whole damn family. I'm hoping the next thing I hear is a grammy award winning album all this other shat is for the birds.

Comment: Whitney just wouldn't listen. Everybody told her she was making a mistake and it was so obvious from the get go. But no, she had to prove everyone wrong. Now, she's desperate for a comeback and has ruined her reputation. This is pitiful. While I agree that Bobby wasn't the only one crazy in the family after seeing that show, he was definitely a step down in many ways. A lowlife.

I recall seeing a tape of Whitney right after she started dating Bobby and it was clear that she was extremely naive about a lot of things. I hope Whitney can stay the course with her rehab and get as much of her former success and life, back.

Comment: MsEffy, situations like this upset me because I've seen it too many times in my own family. What did the old folks used to say? "A hard head makes a soft behind." Well, my sister married a man who had another woman 8 months pregnant 11 years ago. Today, she's taking care of the bulk of the household expenses and doesn't dare ask him where he's been when he chooses not to come home some nights. I also have a mid-thirties cousin who has five children by a loser. He's in jail for the second time in less than two months for drug possession and she's struggling to take care of her beautiful girls. He also has several other kids by other women. My point? I understand love, infatuation, lust or whatever you want to call it, but you have to think with your head and heart (in that order)in these situations. You also have to think about what you want longterm for yourself and your children.

You're relinquishing an emotional investment even if was a bad investment. They obviously were not good for each other, though neither made the other do drugs or other ignant things. Comment: I remember telling a college friend who stopped getting high but her husband didn't; just because you had a revelation and cleaned up doesn't mean that he is going to have that same revelation at the same time. It doesn't make you any better than him -- because at one time the both of them was down with it. Unfortunately women take the brunt of it being looking beat down, used up, or being stuck with kids they thought they were going to raise with two parents. Being bobby Brown was a vehicle for Bobby to make restitution to the mother of his other children. What it actually did was probably save Whitney's life. She was never supposed to be in that show but one can't ignore video tape and perhaps she finally saw what she allowed herself to become. You Can't blame that on Bobbby -- noone had her in a headlock forcing her to do anything! Hopefully their daughter is ok -- because at one point she was becoming a hot mess. She appears to have slimmed down and hopefully she has a thick skin. The behavior of her parents is alot to have to "walk with" at such a young age.

Bobby has to get his self together and stop being a boy, start being a man and you don't have to have alot of money to be one. You can tell that Bobbi-K loves her father and he loves her and all of his kids for that matter. I wish everybody the best and if they get back together, may they love happy ever after.

Comment: Bobby was not a saint nor was Whitney, most people only want to see Whitney as the pre-fab package that Clive Davis created and think that is the way she really was that was years of work to create she was a hood rat form East Orange NJ who her mother tried to protect from the streets but in reality she was just as Ghetto as Bobby just Clive just put her in a pretty package. Now to the real issue it is Bobbi Kristina she is going to catch hell for the sins of her parents I just hope she does not become one of those Hollywood causlities of substance abuse to ease the pain.Whitneys life was no picnic her daddy never had real employment to speak of so her mother was really her sole support as a backup singer for some of the music industries most stellar performers remember she was only Dionne's cousin not her daughter. Comment: I think considerable damage has been done to this child both from her mother and father. Whitney is as culpable as Bobby is on bad behavior, the little girl is spoiled, over indulged and sassy and that is a direct result of an absentee parent or a preoccupied parent, everyone wants to jump on Bobby and he has contributed plenty to this whole situation, but trying to cut the child out of his life is unfair, we know he can't pay child support but in other areas he seems to be crazy about his kids.

Comment: gingerg> yes her father did negotiate her 100 million contract but her father also prepaid the taxes on her real estate holdings...they were prepaid through last year. That's when she started losing some of her homes. He took such good care of her she never had to think about bills or perhaps she assumed they were taken care of. slimdip> There was a young man who grew up on the street I moved to in harlem. Both parents were crackheads. This young man graduated first in his class got a scholarship to Yale, became a doctor and if you saw him and his mannerisms, you would never know he is from Central Harlem, circa 80's the decade of crack cocaine. The only he!! Whitney & Bobby daughter will catch is what she accepts fromothers or creates for herself. The world is her oyster and she has just as much chance as anybody to create the life she wants for herself -- regardless of her parents -- we all have that opportunity if we want it.

Bobbi K will be fine. Whitney will be fine. Bobby B will be fine. Few of us go through life living on the mountaintop. Ever notice that nothing grows there? Many of us must go through a valley (if for nothing else, to get nourishment) only to rise again. There are plenty families on the planet in worse shape than this family, so could we just give them room to be the folk they need to be and move on as they are attempting to do. Sadly, families are torn apart everyday. I just can't wait till Whitney and Bobby get back to the business of making music.

Whitney has realized the error in her ways it seems thats why she has taken the steps to recover from her addiction(s) and move on with her life. She deserves nothing less than our prayers for a speedy recovery as she works hard at putting the pieces to her life back together again. The marriage as we all know was doomed from the start. But, everyone has to live and learn their own lessons in life. For some of us it takes a year, some 10 years and some 14 + years! I am just happy she has come to her senses and I wish them all the best in the next chapter of their lives.

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Arthur Mann spent the weekend with Clara Riddles' family watching the Final Four basketball games, borrowed her father's car, dropped her mother off at work and then went to the CNN Center and killed the pregnant woman. He reportedly had an extensive criminal history, but didn't do or say anything out of the ordinary prior to committing this vicious murder. Among the things that came to light after the crime: He's actually 39, 17 years her senior. He had been convicted of murder before and spent 11 years in prison. He was convicted of having sex with a minor when he was 31. He didn't have a job. Riddles and Mann both worked at Burger King, but he had lost his job and she decided to embark on a new carrer at the Omni Hotel. On top of that, he was 17 years her senior and had no damn job. Relationship material? I think not.

Comment: I wish the both the best, and it will be interesting to see what they obth do with their lives. From what I'm seeing at this point Whitney still hasn't gotten it all together, there is this thing with Ray J which seems rather ill advised. If Whitney stays with the lessons the learned in rehab and stays busy concentrating on her child and career, she might be okay. Recovery is a long, long road and rehab is not a cure-all, it simply gives you the tools to work with, but it's up to you to utilize those tools. As I've mentioned here in the past I have a girlfriend who has been in and out of rehab since 1985, she met a man in rehab, it was cool for moment they were rebuilding their lives, then they both decided to go back to the drugs, figuring they had both been clean for 6 years, they could now handle it---now you got two crackheads together. Not continuing to be with a drug partner is the first step----hopefully she'll keep with the momentum. And hopefully since Bobby is no longer with his drug partner (Whitney) he'll take steps to get himself on track as well.
