Comment: Well Terry McMillian is about one dumb something. Why there was no confidentiality statements filed with her original settlement is beyond me -- probably due to her own greed because she wanted to write about it. Jonathan played her, got his citizenship and is about to get paid...all because Ms. Terri wanted to get layed. Karen Hunter is turning up everywhere making some serious cash in the process. She wrote the Mase book, is the writer who works with Wendy Williams and now Jonathan Plummer. Simon & Schuster is a major -- not some urban division or ghetto press. I can't remember which EUR poster made the comment but it was priceless and I'll paraphrase. They wrote when you go to Jamaica you bring home a plate, a knick knack, a T-shirt -- but you DO NOT bring home a man. This will be the read of the summer 2007!

Comment: Well now,here we have another Gay story.Well i had the pleasure of meeting Jonathan when he came to NYC to be on the WENDY WILLIAMS radio show.In talking with Jonathan I was privey to some very interesting tidbits.Yes he was nineteen years old when he first met Terry ,and did not know who she was.You see in Jamaica they don't do the Celebrity thing at all.That is why few Celebrity's go there.Then a few weeks later she came back to jamaica and so she pursued him
even though she was 43 yrs old.He said
at the time he was having mixed feelings for both men and women but he
supressed his gay feelings.Because just like in Africa in Jamaica you can
be stoned to death or worst for being
Gay.He truly loved Terry but can't honestly say that he was IN-LOVE.Long story short is was a good relationship even after the marriage which is what she wanted at that time and i do remember seeing them getting married on the beach.Sometime after the relationship took a bad turn.Terry became angry with alot a people not just Gay's but she really went over the edge when he tried to discuss his feelings.She was not having any of it,she tried to get his citizenship revoked.The Judge told her to get real,nobody duped you into to marrying such a young man nor was there any type of Blackmail.What would he Balckmail her about.I feel for Ms.McMillian, but when do we women stop rushing into relationships so quickly whether it's a young or older man.Take your time, maybe that may help in getting to really know someone.I think that Jonathan's book may help alot of men on the "DL"at least he had the guts to end his marriage because it was wrong to do that to Terry and to himself as well.Especially if that's not where you want to be.For those of you who don't know,they did get back together for a moment.Terry wanted to see if she could change his mind.And Ladies

Comment: Who ever thought Terry had sense? Everyone one of her books have women who make poor choices, Mama, Disappearing Acts, Day Late Dollar Short etc, even Waiting To Exhale. Yes she is an excellent writer but like the characters in her books she has flaws, in fact I've always thought that each character she wrote about was a part of her and her growth as a woman. How Stella Got Her Groove back also seemed like a recipe for disaster, even in the book the Jamaican Dude didn't ask her to marry him until he got to America and saw how she was living, anywayit's unfortunate but I would pay that fool off and let it go. She initially wanted him for sex and companionship, which he provided for while, and if he wasn't gay she would still be hanging, banging and paying for everything so what's the difference. Maybe he lied about his sexual preference in the beginning and she absolutely had no clue in spite of being on the earth 43 years at the time and maybe he just discovered that he preferred men whatever it's time for this saga to had an ending. Heck let them both write books as they have planned, that might be a solution to get him paid and he can go away as someone else said, what could he say that shocking about Terry?? BTW Terry is a drama queen, how long is the victim role going to last, move on, find a straight man closer to your financial status and age and leave the boy toys at the resorts if you have to get your groove back again.

Comment: I confess! I've been a fool once or twice myself, but it didn't last for over a year. And I know that you can leave a person who doesn't mean you well alone.
I just can't figure out why Terry McMillan isn't out enjoying the fruits of her labor, spending quality time with her son, enjoying time an an exclusive spa or anything besides tit and tat with Jonathan.
There have been people in my life that I've had to just walk away from because they were toxic. Dealing with them made me physically ill and when I stopped visiting and taking their calls, the symptoms stopped. And I'm ok with that.

Terry made a mistake when she acted out on her desperate feelings but just b/c someone can easily be taken advantage of, doesn't mean you are right to do it. I think that if any of us sat down with either of them we could empathize with either story. Going through divorce is sort of like trench warfare like the kind in WW1 ( a whole lot carnage just to gain a little ground) Going through a divorce is in the top five of the most traumatic events one could experience. The top ones are losing a child, death of spouse, death of parent, victim of violence, etc. What we are seeing is the carnage of divorce being played out publicly. What we are seeing is two deeply wounded people acting out in public. At the same time they did share a life together. It is not unusual for couples to conceive a child while in the midst of divorce proceedings. When the dust settles, they will take years to finally heal. I wish them both the best.
