Comment: I know this is a very big deal but I think I'm still in shock to fully recognize how profound it is for two Black male coaches to be in the Super Bowl (with Prince as the half-time show notwithstanding). Congrats to both! Esp. during Black History/Heritage Month!

Comment: Well it happen.......At the beginning of the Pre-Season I predicted this season we were going to have a "Black" Bowl. Even though I am a black female, I was in the barbershop last August and I made the statement Indy and Chicago was goin to the "Black Bowl" the guys told me I was crazy. Now, what happen yesterday. I find it since a female suggested the guys were against, but no one would bet me. I have placed several calls into a few of the males and they will not take my calls. Yes, I was calling to gloat. Congrats, Lovie and Tony all also to my long friend, Darryl Drake - Chicago's wide receiver coach. Much love Darryl. My mother is very happy of your accomplishments. "Black Bowl" on the first Sunday of "Black History" month. Lord have mercy. I find it interesting every monday morning I come into work they "males" are talking about the "games" the past weekend. It is now 10am, I have been here since 7:45, not one person has mentioned yesterday's games. But that's alright, because the "white" world got to accept it...it's going to happen and more super bowls to come. Now I predict a black coach to win the Super Bowl for the next three years. Much love Lovie and Tony. Now pay them some money.......

Comment: CONGRATS TO BOTH...amazing how 3 weeks ago, they were having lunch together with their wivess. you know the converation had to come up about what if both made it to the super bowl. Couldn't happen to two classier coaches by far in the NFL or for any sport for that matter. i guarantee you this, who ever wins, the other one will be the first to congratulate the other. NO drama at all thats what its all about. Other coaches need to follow in their example. i truly hope Ebony, Jet, and all of the media give them their just due.

Comment: Now, the NCAA really needs to get moving on bring more black head coaches. There are 117 Div. 1-A football programs and I think there is 5 black head coaches. Not good at all.

Comment: I am so happy for both men. I watched both games. However, the Colts scared me in the beginning with the score 21-3. But Manning did what he do best. I'm very happy for the Bears they played a great game. I also got a little worried when it seemed the Saints were coming back. But it seem like after the snow came flowing down they got their momentum back. I was sooo happy. The funny thing is, I didn't see Reggie Bush dancing off the field like he did when he made their last touchdown. LOL!!!!!! (Saints fans please don't get mad) I'm sure all the odds will be against the Bears but I'm going to say don't underestimate the underdog. It seems lately all the underdog teams have won. Because the media had all favor going to the Saints. But I went with the Bears. I had to go for the black coach.... I'm just happy two black coaches are going to be in the Superbowl in Black History Month. I'm sure Tom Joyner was talking about it all morning. I missed him this morning. Gooooo Bears!!!!

Comment: Congrats to both these brothers. All things being equal, I think Dungy can out-coach Smith. But of course the Bears are vicious, so that might be the difference as well. Guess we'll have to wait and see. And congratulations to Tomlin too. Hate to see him leave my team (the Vikes), but most of the fans here in Minneapolis kind of knew he would be moving on to bigger and better things.

Comment: It makes no difference to me which team wins the Super Bowl (Soul Bowl as it is being called here in HTown), just the fact that WE will be behind the winning efforts is enough for me.
We couldn't be represented by classier men.
Congrats to the Bears and the Colts.

Comment: pay lovie his monnneneeyyyy mmmaaaannnnn!!!! i, too am pumped that my bears made it back to the big dance!!!!! it has been a long time coming. i almost thought we were going to have a rematch of the '85-86 superbowl where we pounded the pats 46-10. congrats to both of those brothas. just think, "they" said we weren't even capable of comprehending enough to play quarterback, let alone coach this complicated game that black men can play, but not coach, or play qb. bullstuff. now it's time for another black qb to win one.

Comment: Easy folks. They're only football coaches. A great accomplishment indeed. However, when the game is over, our schools will still be disgraceful, we have limited healthcare, crime in our community is out of control, our brothers are going to jail at obscene rates. So once we go to the SB party and get blasted and overstuffed with food, we have to come back to the sad state of affairs that is Black life. Let's keep a realistic perspective!!!
