Comment: I am shocked and sadden at hearing of Mike Evans passing. I was just telling someone a couple of days ago, that Isabel Sanford and Roxie Roker died years ago, Franklin Cover passed a couple of years ago and I wondered what happened to Mike Evans. I knew he was part of the team that brought "Good Times" into the world of television. I still enjoy watching reruns of "The Jefferson's" on TVLAND because regardless of time, funny remains funny. My condolences to his family, friends and fans. Rest in Peace, my brother.

Comment: Although I was a little girl when the show first aired, I loved the fact that a Black family was successful was on TV. I never knew he was behind the so many sitcoms!!!! It's a shame he was never recognized or given the kudos over the years for his contributions. RIP my brother. Instead of reporting to your readers about J-Lo, Nicole Ritchie and OJ on a daily basis, EUR should bring info like this to us on a more timely basis.

Comment: when the Jeffersons aired in the mid 70's, we all watched because it was a middle class Black family, a rarity back then. Funny is funny, and that's why the Jeffersons are still on the air.

Comment: My condolences and prayers go out to Mike's family. I recently had looked up some of the actors who were on Good Times on the IMDB. Several of them have passed on. The actor who played Ebe, the Nigerian man engaged to Thelma, recently died from cancer. Neighbor, Gertie, who prepared the "supicious meatloaf", and bank robbing cousin Cleatus and gambling Ernie Harris(Thalmus Rashulala) are all no longer with us.

Comment: May God's Blessing be upon your soul brother Mike Evans.

Comment: My FAVORITE episode of All in the Family is when Sammy Davis Jr. leaves his attache case in Archie's cab and must come by the house to pick it up. That episode will be forever remembered as one of the most enlightening and entertaining in the history of television. Rest in peace Mike Evans and give a big hug to your TV parents Roxie Roker and Franklin Cover!!!

Comment: My condolences to the Mike Evans' family. I also thought that he was the cute and funny Lionel and never thought the character was the same after he was gone. I remembering seeing his name in the credits for Good Times and wondered if that was him. I went back to the article to see why some comments complain that it took weeks for EUR to report Mike's passing. It reports that Mike's neice stated that he passed on December 14. The article was published on December 22. That is not weeks. Give the EUR a break. Instead of being so critical be appreciative that we even have a source for current Black events. BET promised they were revamping their daily evening news and would be back in a couple months. I think that was 2 years ago. Also, maybe the family had not released the information to the media. You don't know when EUR knew about this sad news. RIP Mike
