Comment: Actually Vanessa Williams was apart of the Miss America organization. Miss America is different than Miss USA(Trump owns this and Miss Universe Pagent). I remember that weight contraversity with Miss Universe. She was a pound away from losing that crown.

Comment: This is such bull. That girl should not have been given, under the circumstances, a second chance. What we have here is Donald Trump's thing for blondes especially young ones. That's the only reason he gave that wild child "another chance." If it had been the black girl, Tomika, who had won the crown and messed up, Trump would have kicked her to the curb. No second chance would have been given to the black girl, and the white girl would have been approved to step quickly in her place. Trump didn't wanna see the black girl ultimately win over his prized blonde trash. This is truly a racist decision considering the rules are in clear black and white.

Comment: When you get a chance, check out the TMZ video of Tamika and Tara at the pageant. Once the announcement was made, Tama was stunned and Tamika was devastated. Ironically one of the pageant workers told Tara if she mess up, it will be the both of them in the bathroom. That's telling me that Tara had this behavior problem before she became Ms USA. As for Trump's frock about second chances, yeah Tara should get a second chance but not with continuing her reign as Ms USA.

Comment: the information regarding her behavior was in the newspaper - the Daily News -from NYC. It said she tested positve for coke, broke curfew (she and the teenaged pagent winner and Miss Universe live at a Trump building in NYC) and had men up to the apartment. She got Miss Universe drunk on her birthday, was seen kissing the teenage pagent winner in the mouth at clubs and was also seen drinking and getting drunk at clubs in NYC.
Anyone from NYC can tell you there is no such thing as proofing at these clubs. Underage dringking and partying is just how it goes down in NYC. From 16 up you start hanging at clubs. Life IS faster in the big city.
On the other hand it's also understood in the type of rural town that she comes from that drinking is part of the coming of age experience. People (from what I've seen white parents in particular almost condone it and certainly expect their kids will go through this type of "wild" stage and then clean themselves up and go out and get a job, get married, have 3.2 children, a dog and white picket fence - just like they did) Look at the Bush twins!

Comment: all of this from a woman who starred in and barred her goodies in a movie named "trois"....'nuff said about ms. kenya. she is the last person who needs to comment!@# i agree about the black thing though. then i read some stuff about the current ms. usa being the national spokesperson for madd (mothers against drunk driving)...makes it even worse. with the whole girls gone wild splashed all over the tv, donald had to know he was gonna come up on one of them sooner rather than later. her crown should have been passed on.

Comment: Just my opinion...this is their world and we ain't nothing but squirrels trying to get a nut. The fact is that as soon as we learn how to play the game, they change the rules so that they can keep winning - figuratively and in this case LITERALLY. So let's not keep trying to play and do our own thing. Develop our own talent shows, pagents etc.

Comment: my point about kenya is that these women don't always go on to bigger and better things. i agree with angel. they sell theirselves out to get these crowns (sometimes before they get the crown. in the case of vanessa williams) then they fade into the distance unless:
A. you are lucky enough for the public to have a short memory (again vanessa. who is probably the most successful beauty queen ever. black or white) or
B. you try to re-gain the public eye by doing movies like trois or appearing in playboy spreads.
vanessa was lucky. and it just so happened when the crown got passed it was given to the 1st runner up who was also black. times were different back then. but that doesn't excuse the beauty pageant circle NOW and what is going on. tara should have passed that crown on. admit when you are wrong. vanessa resigned. she wasn't fired. she admitted the pictures were a mistake; give the crown to the next best woman.

Comment: PS>Another thing too folks that you need to remember, while I respect Vanessa for how she's conducted herself since the downfall, THEY HAD PHYSICAL PROOF OF WHAT SHE HAD DONE!!! Alot of what has happened with this Miss USA has been all rumors & eventhough she's admitted to having problems, we haven't seen her NAKED AZZ (yet anyway) in a magazine.
