I like Isiah too, he's a gifted brother. He's a strong black man and that comes across in every role he's played. He has a dignity and an intelligence that makes me proud. It saddens me that he would let his inner demons ruin his career. I hope he gets it together. I'll pray he does.

It was something about driving a luxury car and being one step away from the soup line.

Comment: It's hard to watch someone who isn't as talented hog the limelight. McDreamy is on the cover of every magazine because of his looks. Little is said about his acting ability, though he is ok. In contrast, I is a theatre trained actor who is basically taking a backseat. Evenmoreso now that McSteamy has returned. This show is good and the drama needs to stay on the screen.

Is possible that he could have had issues in the past or they could be bringing it up just as an excuse to get rid of him, either way, the reason we are talking about it is because he's on a number one show. If the show was # 165 in the ratings it would be non-news.

Comment: The show is called Grey's Anatomy, because it's about Meredith (Grey)...so naturally, her romances would be at the forefront. Who cares that Burke's love interest is not attractive? They ain't married and there are so many places to go with his character later. Right now it's about Meredith & McDreamy and to question their training is irrelevant. I agree IW is a talented actor, but he ain't the only actor of color who isn't the main character on his show. The bottom line is you can't %*$ault your co-workers (calling George a fag is not even secondary)--especially on the job. To date, we have not heard anything to suggest Dempsey put his hands on Washington; so it appears that IW is wrong. Hopefully, he hasn't blown this opportunity--his exposure on this highly rated show has the possibility to open doors that he was not privvy to before this.

Hopefully, there was no choking. Dempsey and Washington have confirmed that there was an altercation, but their publicists have worked to smooth things over. Its other folks who are stoking the flames. Also, trust me on this thing about George. It will take on a life of its own.

Comment: Isaiah is a perfect fit as Dr. Burke on Grey's. He has that quiet sexy going on but is still a strong yet sensitive, educated, handle's his bizness, at the top of his game black man and quiet frankly is a perfect fit for Sandra Oh's character IMO. The above mentioned actors couldn't carry that role like he does IMO. I hope that it works out for him and he keeps his job but anger management classes might need to be considered ASAP, if only for the longevity of his career/livelihood.

As far as that goes though, I work in the industry and the Jewish men have the worst, nastiest tempers, filthy mouths and meanest anger issues I have ever seen in a so called man and especially in a workplace. if a Black man evah pulled any of the stunts they do on the job, they would be azz out unemployed. Comment: The TV writer for the post said that even if Isiah did all this, she doubted he would be fired b/c actors get into 'scuffles' on sets all the time. That being said, I love me some Boris but there is NO WAY he can pull the type of intelligent, smoldering, dignified and understated acting that Isiah Thomas displays on that show. Blair Underwood could POSSIBLY do it but I can't think of any other currently working black actor who could do what he does on that show. I say they just get rid of the character if they are firing him.

No matter how angry he was at the situation he shouldn't be putting his hands on anyone, period. Both publicists have confirmed that that there was a physical incident so I'm not sure how Black folks are just blindly believing the media. What annoys me more than assuming the media has an ax to grind with him because he's black is the comparison between bigotry of race and sexual preference. Since when does a black man have to show excessive tolerance for homosexuals cause he knows what it's like to be discriminated against???!!! Black folks were born into their skin and are unable to hide or keep it private unlike a person's sexuality.
