Comment: Yea, everybody knows that the stength of a black woman is intimidating to the weak azzed jellyfish white folk with absolutely no character or integrity or professionalism. Some of them some lying folk in the workplace. Strong black women are so much more interesting and have more substance, and have endured so much and if they survive, therein lies the beauty. It's the tribulations that builds the strength. If you don't want black women to be strong, stop taking us through %*$! -- on the job, at home, in school. If someone tries to fight you, what do you? Fight back!!! What don't kill you will make you stronger, right? Hello???!! Strong women are intimidating period, but strong black women take that %*$! to a different level because we are tested beyond belief. For a black woman, defeat is not an option, so the harder you come at me, the more intimidating you will become because of the tenacity of the fight. My strength and that of my sistas is a gift from God. Whatever the problems were before the black chick walked in the room, will be the problems that will be there when the black chick leaves the room. Sure the View is getting along now, but the strong black woman was the problem because she was her own woman. RACISM that what it is. Our skin color, our nappy hair, our strength is a gift of God and throughout history YT has been told, you can't kill the root. Trust and believe that. Star may not end up with a TV network, but she will work again, no matter who hates her. You're ok with YT as long as they don't perceive you to be a threat. Once that perception is put out there, it's a done deal. I'm not a Star fan by any stretch of the imagination, but she will rise again. And why shouldn't she make it. She's done what she needs to make it -- no matter who hates her. And YT needs to learn, that they own and run a lot of %*$!, but they are not the Masters of the Universe and when the Lord has a calling on his child's life, no weapon formed against him shall prosper. So enjoy your tea and crumpets on The View, cuz one day, the same thing that happened to Star will happen to them, when they become irrelevant and the network dismisses them.

Now Elisabeth can get a word in edgewise? That wasn't Star's doing alone. Everybody participated in cutting off Elisabeth. And it's alright that they feel so relaxed right now Once Rosie hits the scene and gets that gay agenda rolling, Star's wedding talk would have been harmless in comparison.

Comment: Okay, people... making my last post regarding ole burnt out a#$ Star!! When did this rude, obnoxious, full-of-herself B@#$! become the standard bearer for Black womanhood!? The bottom line is this; There are laws written into the universe that cannot be escaped. One of the most powerful of these laws is "BE NOT DECIEVED; GOD IS NOT MOCKED. WHAT A MAN (or woman)SOWTH, SO SHALL HE (or she)REAP." Or, as Black folk say-- "What goes around, comes around!" Star turned into a monster and mistreated people wherever she went. As I posted once before, I saw her in action with my own two eyes being mean and rude and shitty to old people and children (Black ones)! I will concede that she did hold her own when issues concerning Black people arose on the show. However, she negated most of that with her ridiculous behavior elsewhere. As a member of the media for many years, I have contacts in the industry and I'm telling you, she was hated within Black media cuz she was so damn nasty!!Star got back what she put out! Period!!! And... It ain't over!!! Wait until the truth about her GAY husband Alberta starts to surface with pictures!!!

Comment: yunvme and SummerHill> supposedly (and I say supposedly because of the urban legend reference) the term "picnic" comes out of the term "pick a n-gg-r" relating to outdoor "parties" where whites would gather around to view a lynching. I just looked online and supposedly the word has a French origin (pique-nique). I see it like this: lynchings did occur and that "nic" part just sounds a little bit to close to that other "Ni" term (Wink!)

Can't relax because a black woman is around? Still carrying the same racial B.S. around and showing the whole country. You mean it took nine years for these women to open up and be the real beatches they really are? If Star was so domineering, how come they didn't just confront her nine years ago and tell her then? SO PHONY BUT SO TYPICAL. I guess beating up on Brandy was their 'pay back to a black woman.'..................Now Elisabeth couldn't get a word in, but now at the nine-year mark she can speak up about it? If Star had that much power that she was able to silence a panel of her counterparts, then she should have just been given her own damm show (which I am sure she is working on). Honestly, any business minded television executive (from even UPN) would give her a platform of her own and capitalize while she is still a major topic in the media. Hell, they gave Tyra a show and for the life of me, I am still wondering why she has a talk show. I do think Star could bring something to daytime TV in the talk arena that would generate a following. People like drama and she is full of that but at the same time...she is a very smart women.

Comment: White people kill me with the concept that everything black is bad. Black cats crossing your path is bad luck, the term "blackballing", when you're in trouble you behind the eightball. It even trickles down to simple things like cartoons--look at the difference between Daffy Duck and Donald Duck. Since Donald is white, he's made to seem more intelligent. He takes care of his 3 nephews, has a girlfriend, etc. The only thing you see going on with Daffy is he gets shot at, something is always hitting him and spinning his lips around to the other side. Racism affects everything. Even what our kids watch. Fox Network is on a roll this week. Judge Mablean Ephriam left them because of requests that she deemed as being racial. There is no more harmony on the view than it was before. I bet Rosie will start a bunch of %*$! when she get's there. I hope she does. Maybe if she gives Barbara a good licking, she'll calm down.

Comment: In my opinion Star went on Larry King looking to blast Barbara -- Larry and Barbara have been friends for years. Larry took the ratings (his highest ever this season) and told homegirl "don't count on Barbara doing anything for you -- ain't gonna happen." Meredith has been quiet as a church mouse, and after Star took the redeye back from LA to speak with Al on the Today show -- trust and believe somebody gave her a call and told her to SHUT UP. For once she took that advice. Dave Chapelle's revelation was that they were not laughing with him; they were laughing AT HIM. Star has realized the same thing!!! If we (the Black community) wanted to really help Star, folks should have never watched the Larry King show. I did not, why give him a ratings boost, which is exactly what happened.

Comment: If Star was "so smart" why did she treat her gig like it was a lifetime contract? I KNOW she saw the other women coming for her, so WHY didn't she use what she KNOWS from LIFE to keep her job? I don't feel pitty for her. There are times when your hands are tied (I have seen folk ban together to get rid...) but most of the times you see the writing on the wall. Now that they threw her off the show she is retaliating, she should have put up her BEST defense BEFORE they got rid of her. As they say, all things happen for the greater good, so perhaps this is a GOD send that is not obvious at this time in Star's life. I don't feel she should bash the show or the ladies, that shows a lack of class and tack. If she THINKS that is going to win favor in the eyes of another shows, she is a fool. They are going to watch carefully so THEY are not the next victim. No one really knows what was going on behind the scene. To me, Star comes across like a lady who sips brandy in her coffee. To ME, she is ghetto with good clothes on. She, just as Terry McMillan, is obviously foolish. If Star can't SEE clearly Al Reynolds is a homosexual--than is not wonder The View threw her off the show? IF those two are who we should look up than you don't have to look far. I am not bashing Star I am simply not going to jump on the prejudice band wagon when a woman of Star's affluence KNOWS they don't want her there and she should have had her guard up WAY HIGHER.

Prince was always called GAY from day one. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you dont know Al or Prince personally do you? Why does Al seem gay to you but Prince doesnt? Comment: Why are people saying Al is gay and not Michael or Prince? Well for Michael I don't think he has sex with any adult, perhaps children and if he did had sex it would probably be with men, as far as Prince, heck I can't tell ya personally but I think he's straight but a freak. BTW clothing are not a real clue, in the 70s and 80s a lot of groups dressed with unisex clothing, heels, make up etc. (Rick James, the BarKays Cameo, Parliment-Funkadelic, etc.) Prince truly liked to be noticed and delibrately pushed the envelope--remember the lyrics of Controversy. YUNVME, yes Prince did do a song called head but it was about a man going down on a woman (listen to the words before a-s-suming head was about him going down on a man) Also YUNVME you are absolutely right, no one really knows Al as gay and I often wondered why anyone even cares. People feels that Star's marriage is a sham but what kind of sham, each person marries for different reason, perhaps her reasons are not other people's reason for marrying so WTF? As far as her being obnoxioux do you really believe people look at TV to see nice people, playing the witch role is always popular and unfortunately it gets ratings cause people watch the show to see what witchy thing will be done next, hence the Omarosa's, Erica Kanes, Alexis Carringtons and every other witchy reality person or television show character that has been on TV in the past 60 years television has existed are popular. Star did not lose her job because of her funky personality, believe me people are making it worse than her personality ever was, it was truly an issue of a black woman not "knowing" her place and refusing to Kowtow to white women. Star was too durn popular for whatever reason and that wasn't appreciated.

Comment: Ya'll are crazy on here today! Starr's problems began when she got some dyck! She got turned out by ole' Al and she lost her damm mind! Just like Ellen when she came out that she was gay and then created every episode around her "gay-ness"...people got tired of that shyt quick! Same with Starr...ok lady damm...he put it on you but why we gotta hear about this nonsense on a daily basis! I believe she was tolerable before Al, but, became unbearable soon after! When you beat people over the head with the same bull on a consistent basis...it won't be long before you are sitting at the lunch table...alone! In both these instances...the were let go for being over the top with their lifestyles (gay or straight)!

Comment: The only 'mistake' Star Jones made, was thinking that she was equal to Barbara Walters, Joy and Elisabeth. And when you're Black and in a situation where you are the only person of color in an environment, the rules are always adifferent for you. No, Star could not gush about Al, her wedding or whatever. But the other three heifers could bore the audience about anything. And this business about Star trying to get free gifts or whatever....she's too D-List for me to even care. The only thing that does have me a bit surprised, is that Star is old enough to know better. When you're in a situation like the one Star is in, there comes a point when you know just who your enemies are. Someone on here said that it now looks as if Star has been thrown off 'The View'. They're right. Already I'm seeing blurbs about how the ratings have been 'higher than ever', now that she's gone.
Interesting about how the rest of 'The View' hefs feel as if they can relax. What this 'insider' won't say is, that this 'relaxing part', that is being referred to, is not when they are in front of the camera. Without Star there, they can say the 'N' word and anything else they want in their refreshingly, lily white environment.

Comment: What does Prince have to do with this discussion? Prince and Michael, whether or not they're gay.
What is the problem with people sticking to the subject at hand?
And Sweetie, Michael doesn't have sex with children. If you can see through the bull with this Star crap, you should see that.

Comment: Damn, luscious, let somebody say somethin' 'bout Mike, and PRESTO! here you are. Mike DID have sex wit them chirren, and it is YOU who is in delusional denial. But, as to Prince, the words to the song are as follows: "...(female voice) I must confess, I wanna get undressed, and go to bed...(male voice)You had the chance, you fool, to marry me instead! AND MORNING, NOON, AND NIGHT I GIVE YOU HEAD!" PEACE.

Comment: Star Jones was not fired because of her wedding or weight loss. Star Jones lost the wit, charm, intellect and accidental humor that made her an interesting voice. When Star began steered discussions toward her life regularly, a competition began making the show trite and catty. Star was given opportunities to lead the show. The first time, Star literally turned her back to the audience for the entire 'hot topics' segment. In subsequent shows, Star failed to keep the audience interested (sounds of crickets chirping) because she lacked the talent necessary to move topics along. People forget Star’s behavior when she wasn't on The View. Witness the BET telethon for the Katrina victims where she was glowering into the camera while manning the phones as if she felt the effort beneath her. Eventually, Latifah spotted the offensive behavior and shifted her body to cover the eyeball rolling. By the way, temperamental Naomi Campbell was nearby making calls without rancor. People forget Star's best friend when she was overweight and lonely was Barbara Walters. Once Star got married, BaBaWa was old news. When Star harangued endlessly about Al, Barbara warned her on-air that it was too much. Star admitted that her own mother told her to chill. (Who loves you more than yo’ mama?) Star countered Barbara by telling the audience that she didn't care what Barbara said! I could go on, but why! Star has been blessed many times and has to learn that gifts shouldn’t be taken for granted. You can find truth in the system using Black people, but Star had more than a decade in TV, film, awards shows, speaking engagements, galas and countless social engagements to learn. Star will have to reflect on the fact that humility serves talent far better than braggadocio and swagger in any business. Trust that Common and Mos Def will become legends while folks with diamond grills and blood diamonds will long be forgotten as part of a greater movement in music.

Comment: Who cares about who wants Star Jones? Who is it that wants Rosie o'Donnell?
She is just as out of control as Michael Jackson. That will be my last time watching The View, I watch it every single day, but if she's going to be hosting, count me out. I think my girls clubs of 350 members feel the same way.
So We Will View You Later.
