Comment: If this is true, that would be a very interesting show Prince songs are very hard to sing and I could see that hillbilly girl really fuccing up one of his songs and that boring azz brokeback cowboy Bucky trying his best to sing When Doves Cry, but on the other hand Mandiva would I belive do a terrific job on I feel for you, and Paris I think would be successful singing Nothing Compares 2 U...I will believe this when I see it, I think it's very unlikely that Prince would do AI...

Comment: I with everyone, I can't see this happening... Prince is not a publicity hound and doesn't need a television appearance to sell his CD. With that said, the only one I see doing justice to a Prince song is Paris... the rest of them would totally f'up his songs.

Comment: If this is true, then Prince fans will consider him a "sell-out." At least, that's what some of the hard core fans considered him when he performed with Beyonce on the Grammies. I really can't see him doing this any more than I can see Michael Jackson doing it. If Michael were to do such a thing, people would consider it an act of desperation. If Prince does appear, I would think that the media and fans would say the same thing.

Have y'all ever noticed that no man attempts to cover a Prince song, not with any success, anyway. And remember when Michael Jackson was considered to be more normal than Prince? Hmmm...PEACE.

Comment: BigBlackRod, evidently you didn't visit any prince newsgroups or discussion boards after his appearance with "B". There were comments about him "selling" out from HIS fans. Let's be for real, YOU know that if Michael were rumored to appear on "American Idol" the media AND Prince fans, Madonna fans and everyone else would be saying that he was desperate. Of course,you know that when it comes to Michael there are DOUBLE STANDARDS. The things that other artists are embraced for doing, the media and public always turn those same things against Michael for doing. Remember when Michael did a commercial to promote his album and tour? Everybody and their mama was against him. NOW, everyone is doing the same thing. Can you imagine if Michael had GIVEN albums away with concert tickets and those album give-aways counted as sales, as Prince did with his last al bum. You already know that this would have been front page news saying that Michael couldn't sel albums and had to give them away. Michael sells almost 400,000 copies of his last album of new material and it debuted at #1. The media proclaimed it a failure and the public, even some MJ fans, fell for this and considered it a failure. How can THAT be a failure, when neither Maddona or Prince sold as much on their #1 debuts? Do you see where I am coming from about the Double standards. Btw, I don't believe that Prince will appear on AI, but you never know. He IS doing things that he has never done and said that he wod never do, in order t promote his albums. Who knows, maybe he will appear.THere is absolutely nothing wrong if he does, I am just saying that if Michael were to do the exact same thing, people would twist and turn it into a "desperation move" and that is not fair.

Comment: I watched AI last night and I've always been a fan of Kenny Rogers but for the longest time, I had no idea that was him. Between him, Joan Rivers and Burt Reynolds - they keep the plastic surgeon in disposable income! I used to think Kenny was a good looking white man and now with all the surgeries the man didn't age naturally and we'll never know what he would look like. Shame he doesn't know he looks like Madame! All three should be in the wax museum.

Comment: Ciara: I really didn't put THAT much thought into it; I just see the humor in the juxtaposition of how the media used to perceive Mike and Prince. And besides, Prince is in charge of his own promotion now; with this being a different world (the Internet being as all-pervasive as it is), he has to try a lot of stuff that woulda been considered beneath him. Hell, if and when Mike tries to come back, the media blitz will be state-of-the-art and strange...PEACE.
