Name: Tenacious
Comment: Good message....Lynn Whitfield's role...whoa!

Name: shakaz0117
Comment: We did it!! Very good movie, especially the scene at the family reunion. Very moving!!

Name: TAZBABY
Comment: Love the movie and will see it again. You are so right Tenacious, Lynn Whitfield role was like Whoa! Blair Underwood played the mean part very well and had me scared of him. Yes Shakaz we sure did. There were more Pank people in the Theater than us and they were clapping and lauging their butts off. The Reunion scene was really good.

Name: StormyMonday
Comment: Congrats to Tyler, cast and crew!!!!

Name: oldschoolbrother
Comment: I may not like his movies but his business sense is amazing. Hopefully he can keep it going, not give in to the Hollywood pressure. To have back to back huge openings, great DVD sales, it shows a track record. Good going Mr. Perry.

Name: NYC1
Comment: Congrats to Tyler Perry. Madea was much better than Diary of a Mad Black Woman. Some of the scenes were soap opera and dialogue on the nose; but nevertheless, seeing Perry's movie made my long day. Lion's Gate got the last laugh...again.

Name: PussnBoots
Comment: I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. But there was just one crying azz baby the whole time. Tyler has done it again. He looks great too w/ the weight loss.

Name: danyello
Comment: Good Movie and message. Lynn Whitfield was excellent! So were the other characters, but she played the mess out of that role. Congrats Tyler!

Name: JGGIRL
Comment: I really enjoyed the movie but not as much as Diary. This movie seemed to be the same story as the first but with two women (the sisters)instead of one. I wish that Tyler would do more comedy next time rather than the heavy drama.

Name: bigchassie
Comment: ok...yall sold me...i'm gonna go see it tomorrow. got a doctors apptment so i think i'll take the day off and go see it.

Name: bigchassie
Comment: AND ANOTHER THING....that poster up above..i love it! so Andy Warholish. i wonder can it buy it somewhere?

Name: musbdherbs
Comment: Madea was just what I thought it was going to be...something to laugh at. It was a comedy/drama...nothing more...nothing less. The good thing is that since we always talk about what "hollywood force-feeds us" at least they now know the type of movie that will bring us out in droves. Great Job and keep up the support my great black people.

Name: TJthemilitant
Comment: I'm going to the 3pm matinee right after work..I cannot stand big week end crowds, crying azz babies, Taneeesha's bright blue cell phone light, popcorn munchers in my ear...At the afternoon matinee, it's just me and the big screen..That's the only way I can enjoy a movie at the theatres....Big ups to TP!!! Ya did it again baby boy!

Name: bigchassie
Comment: JTMIL>I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN. I'M THE SAME WAY ABOUT MATINEES. I LIKE TO BE THE ONLY ONE IN THE THEATRE MYSELF. IT'S SO COZY THAT WAY. AND IT'S MORE ENJOYABLE.

Name: bigchassie
Comment: i'm just loving that poster! i got to find it! would look great in my den! would look good next to my "RAY" Poster!

Name: bigchassie
Comment: OH GOODY!! I found that poster on Allposters.com. i just ordered it! i just love it!! YOU GO MADEA! RIGHT ON TYLER P!

Name: beboyz
Comment: You could see my smile from a mile away. Tyler Do yo Thang!!! Number one at the box office that is no small feat. Maybe those suits in Hollywood will finally start recognizing our clout cause if we dont do nothing else we go see movies!!!

Name: Mimi
Comment: PussNBoots: Did you stay until the end? Madea addressed the crying baby thing! I was hollerin!

Name: trust
Comment: Great movie, I was thorougly entertained and impressed by the caliber of actors' talent, they all did an excellent job, and yes the school bus scene was a riot. I was so proud of Tyler and the blatant yet subtle impression he is making in entertainment, I am eagerly awaiting his next projects. My hope is that he can and certainly will make a difference in many of our attitudes, beliefs, and negative aspects of our lives. He did a superb job!!

Name: 4mybabygirl
Comment: I'm definately going to check this out! My sister said it was great!

Name: Caribbean_Queen
Comment: I will definitely see this movie. I'll take my 15yr old niece and my sister (when she comes back from shaking her tail in the caribbean carnival). I agree with the postings about matinee's. That's my favorite treat to myself for all the reasons you mentioned and one BIG REASON....It's CHEAPER! How much is a movie now? $100.00??? and popcorn is what $275.00??? Hollywood is trippin!!!

Name: mickidee
Comment: I really enjoyed the movie, and congrats to Tyler again for being #1 at the box office.

Name: dcdouglass01
Comment: Congratulations to Mr. Tyler. Saw the movie, and while it's not perfect (what is?), it was good, comedic/dramatic entertainment with a good message. Mr. Tyler is quite the talent---writer, director, actor(s). And I beleive he received credit for writing the music as well. In the 70's we had blaxplotation, in the 80's we had Eddie Murphy, in the 90's we had the gangsta rap movies, and now, with at least 5 more movies to go, it looks like this decade belongs to Madea.

Name: FineBrown
Comment: Bernie Mac said "we don't have (a lot of) Madears' today"; but thanks to Tyler, atleast we know where to find her and how to keep these churrin in check!

Name: bigchassie
Comment: DCDOUG>i totally agree!! RIGHT ON MADEA! WONDER IS SHE GONNA PULL OUT MADEA GOES TO JAIL??

Name: bigchassie
Comment: DC> YOU KNOW I'M GETTING %*$!ED OFF AT BOOMQUEESHA, I KEEP GETTING KICKED OUT!!

Name: bigchassie
Comment: DC>I CAN'T PUT MY TWO CENTS IN LIKE I WANT TO! THIS BEYOCH KEEP KICKING ME OUT!!

Name: SanDiego
Comment: The move was realy good. In the beginning the acting was a little slow then it took off, I can't wait until it comes on DVD so I can watch It again and again

Name: coesmo
Comment: I thought the movie was excellent. It had a lot of heart....

Name: Charmagne77
Comment: A MUST SEE movie! I saw it last night and laughed, cried, got %*$!ed and laughed and cried some more! For those of you who haven't seen it, I suggest you RUN, not walk, to the theatre!

Name: reflection
Comment: I thought that the movie was really good and definetely moving. Madea showed out! as expected.it was a little slow at first but once it picked up,whoa! the wedding scene was beautiful, the scene with the boy on the bus, priceless and the reunion when Cicely Tyson spoke was worth the price of the ticket by itself!!!

Name: reflection
Comment: forgot to add,it was sold out and that's saying alot for a black movie in Oregon. only problem was the crying babies and people talking all throughout the movie!

Name: RealSmiles
Comment: Oh yeah! I'm loving these props. As for me, I have to go back the second time-I was cracking up too hard and missed some parts. Glad to hear that Tylee struck gold again on this one.

Name: Priceless
Comment: I'm actually not surprised that Madea did well ... the more some protests the more some will support it

Name: bigchassie
Comment: alright hollywierd!! Tyler P is in de house! YOU BETTA RECOGNIZE!

Name: bigchassie
Comment: ACTUALLY, I HAD SOME ACTORS WHO WERE IN MY PLAY THEY TOO WERE IN THIS MOVIE AS WELL, SO I'M PROUD OF THEM TOO.

Name: musbdherbs
Comment: Let's see will we support "Soul Plane 2--A life worth saving" ...*snicker*

Name: Priceless
Comment: musb, I bet some people would go see it *smirk*

Name: McNasty
Comment: I'm just glad that in spite of some of the comments from last week that it broke the box office! I knew it would. This is a feel good supposed to be laughed at movie that addresses a few serious issues. BIG UPS TO YOU AGAIN TYLER PERRY!!

Name: McNasty
Comment: FineBrown long time no post!

Name: sweetpea
Comment: Congratulations to Tyler Perry and the rest of the cast!!! I have not seen the movie yet but I look forward to seeing it. It is good to see Blair Underwood playing a bad guy again. He can really pull it off. The last time I saw him play a bad guy was in "Just Cause" with Sean Connery and Laurence Fishburne, Blair shocked me in that one.

Name: bigchassie
Comment: MUSB>don't tell me they are not going to do another Soul Plane Movie??? OH MY GAWD!!

Name: Train
Comment: Excellent movie and the scene at the reunion when Ms. Angelou and Ms. Tyson break it down to the youngsters was priceless. Black love is a beautiful thing and our people need more of that.

Name: MsHRDiva
Comment: very good movie... loved the bus scene, the wedding was just beautiful and that darn Lynn Whitfield - she will not be stopped. She played the hell out of that role... Tenacious "whoa" is right! LOL

Name: musbdherbs
Comment: Price..u stoopid...u know that right?..lololol Guess what? I'll be in the same line to see Soul Plane as I was w/Madea. Both were supposed to be funny w/minimal attention to the message. BTW.... NO!!!! They are NOTTTT making a sequel to Soul Plane..lol

Name: Angel
Comment: I liked the movie, BUT that wedding decor was just plain TACKY. LOL Folks hanging from the ceiling was just a tadbit too theatrical. Anyway, I thought Cicely Tyson's and Maya Angelou's words at the family reunion were right on point. It did seem a lil predictable and soap operish, but I still enjoyed it. I loved Madea's after-movie comments during the credits. Too funny!!!

Name: SweetieDarlin
Comment: Musbe----Oh BEHAVE!! LOL Now you KNOW there is a huge, huge difference between the characters Tyler Perry has in his movies and the kind that Hollywood force feds us. Especially Madeas' character I have never seen THAT before.

Name: Priceless
Comment: musb, glad to see you support the arts *snicker*

Name: musbdherbs
Comment: lolol..price...now u know that although I will go and see a senseless comedy...I wouldn't even place it in the "arts" category. I would actually see a bootlegged movie like Soul Plane b4 I would see a stage version of Tyler..lol

Name: Beezyuu
Comment: I enjoy Tyler Perry's movies, but I wish more african americans would be a little more willing to learn more about our history by supporting movies like "Glory Road". We need to become more serious about ourselves.

Name: DEEDEE42
Comment: I saw the movie today at the matinee and it was great. The actors and actress did a wonderful job. I enjoyed it. Way to go Tyler , keep up the good work.I love movies that are produced, written and acted out by blacks. Keep up the good work my sisters and brothers.
