*Lamar Davenport, the boyfriend of Morgan Freeman’s step-granddaughter, E’Dena Hines, has been sentenced to 20 years in state prison for her stabbing death, Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. said Thursday.

Davenport, 33, was sentenced after being convicted on the felony charge of manslaughter in the first degree. He was also sentenced to five years of post-release supervision.

Back in 2016, Davenport stabbed Hines 25 times while under the influence of alcohol and PCP near her Washington Heights apartment building.

“Ambitious and driven, E’Dena Hines was deeply loved by family and friends before her life was brought to a horrific and tragic end by her boyfriend, Lamar Davenport,” Vance said in a statement Thursday. “I would like to thank the prosecutors in my office for securing a prison sentence commensurate with his extraordinarily violent crime, and offer my sympathies to Ms. Hines’ loved ones as they continue to mourn.”

Hines was 33 years old at the time of her death.

During the emotional sentencing, the defendant’s family blamed Freeman for the tragedy, alleging he sexually abused Hines when she was younger.

“Morgan Freeman molested her and he caused this. He did this,” Lamar Davenport’s mother yelled to a reporter as she was ushered out of court for disrupting the hearing, Page Six reports.

“He’s innocent! It was an accident!” she insisted.

The affair between Freeman and Hines was confirmed during Davenport’s murder trial.

The actor mourned E’Dena’s death at the time, saying, “Her star will continue to shine bright in our hearts, thoughts and prayers.”

“The world will never know her artistry and talent, and how much she had to offer. Her friends and family were fortunate enough to have known what she meant as a person,” Freeman said in a statement at the time. “Her star will continue to shine bright in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. May she rest in peace.”
